WIX FILTERS / BUMPER TO BUMPER AUTO PARTS WILL FEATURE NCRA MODIFIED FINALE

MARC HURD OF WICHITA GOES AFTER SECOND STRAIGHT TITLE

A huge night of dirt track racing action will take place this coming Saturday night at 81 Speedway in Park City as the track will host the annual “Wix Filters/Bumper to Bumper Fall Classic” highlighted by the final point race of the season for the National Championship Racing Association modified division. This show was originally scheduled as a two day event and it has since been condensed to a one night extravaganza.

Along with being the final point race for the modifieds, the track will host a non-sanctioned 360-ci sprint car show that will pay $2000 to win; street stocks, thumpers and hornets will also be in competition.

Marc Hurd, of Wichita, Ks. will enter the final race of the season here at 81 Speedway for the NCRA Modified Series with a 95 point margin over second place Dustin Belcher, also of Wichita.  Hurd, seeking his second straight NCRA Modified Series title, padded his margin over the field during a stop here at the speedway just last weekend.  Belcher, then A.J. Brochu, of Enid, Ok, Dan Powers and Josh Lanterman, both of Wichita, Ks, round out the top five in the standings heading into the series finale this weekend. Last Saturday night when the tour visited the speedway, 34 cars signed in to do battle on the three-eighths mile oval with Brian Franz of Halstead picking up the victory.

This event will also be the final time that the tracks thumper and hornet divisions compete at the speedway for the 2013 race season. The tracks street stock division will be competing on Saturday night, October 26 for a special $500 to win show and will be joined by the series 360-ci sprint car division and their season finale.

Adult grandstand admission is just $12 for ages 11 and up while children 6-10 grandstand admission is just $5.

Pit gates will open at 5:00 PM with a start slated for 7:00 PM.
