Another Huge Year of Racing Set for 81 Speedway!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Midwest City, Oklahoma – February 3, 2013 - For the 42nd consecutive year under the guidance of track owner/promoter C Ray Hall, 81 Speedway in Park City has their 2013 track schedule set and has been placed on the tracks website.
Four open practice sessions will be held the first three Sunday afternoons in March and grandstand admission for these will be free.
Two huge special events highlight the first two opening weekends for the track. It all kicks off on Saturday night, March 30th as the ever popular “winged warriors” of the National Championship Racing Association 360 sprint car division will be in competition with that nights championship feature winner earning $5000. The growing popular mod-lite division will also be competing.
One week later will be a huge two-day event at the speedway featuring the NCRA modified and NCRA sport modified divisions on Friday and Saturday night, April 5-6. The championship feature on Saturday night for the modifieds will pay $5000 to win while the sport mod feature winner will earn $2000.
A demolition derby will be the lone event on the racing card on Saturday night, April 13th before weekly racing begins on week later on Saturday night, April 20th.
Racing will take place each and every Saturday night and selected Sunday nights through July 7th and July 13-14. Racing will then back pick up weekly on Sunday night, July 21st through the season finale at the speedway on October 12th .
360 sprints, 305 sprints, late models, modifieds, AAA modifieds, rookie modifieds, street stocks, hobby stocks, hornets and youth hornets will all see action on selected weekly racing cards.
Special events include the NCRA 360 sprints, NCRA 305 sprints, NCRA modifieds, NCRA sport modifieds, NCRA late models, and the USAC California/Arizona non-wing sprinters.
